About our Gantry Cranes
With this project, we designed and fabricated (4) cranes, installed in (3) separate runways. Our Gantry crane was designed to fit within our customers desired clearance envelope, while giving them the access they needed in and outside the building. Located in building #3 of the plant we had our 20/5Ton Gantry crane. This crane was designed to move products before and after paint booth operations.

Also with this Project…Building #1 was where the 30 and the 50/7.5 ton cranes ran on a 160′ runway. Both were Top Running Double Girder cranes, manufactured using a box birder style bridge with EMH hoists. Building #2 featured our 10ton Top Running Single Girder crane, with a traditional wide flange beam for a bridge, and a 20ton Top running Double Girder crane, with a box girder bridge; both running an existing runway system and used WorldSeries hoists.

All (4) cranes of this project were manufactured and installed by Vigo Machine Shop. See below for more details about these cranes.

 

Building 3

20 Metric Ton Gantry w/ 5 Ton Auxiliary Hoist

22ft. 9” Span, Indoor Service, CMAA Class “C”. Hoist Shawbox Global Series, 26ft. lift, 12/3 fpm hoist speed. 2 speed hoist 12/3 fpm, 20/5 hp. Bridge has dual drive (2) 3 hp. motors with 15” wheels. 150 fpm max variable. Trolley speed 25 fpm max variable control. Control Voltage 110vac. Runway embedment 85ft. length, installed by building contractor.

30 Ton TRDG
56ft. Span, Indoor Service, CMAA Class “C”. Hoist EMH kit HMI Class H3, 33ft. lift, 11.3/1.9 fpm hoist speed. Trolley has dual drive (2) .75 hp. motors with 10”Dia. wheels. Bridge has dual drive (2) 3 hp. motors and 12”Dia. wheels. Both trolley and bridge have VFD Control. Control Voltage 110vac. This crane included, as an option, a full length catwalk spanning the length of the crane. Also came with a remote control in addition to hanging pendant.
